Wade’s Interaction with Plans
Understanding Plans
Plans are comprehensive action documents for bulk product improvements. Wade can generate plans for:
- Product title improvements
- Product description enhancements
- SEO optimizations
- Product attribute updates
- Bulk product modifications
Plan Mode vs Ask Mode
Wade operates in two modes:
Ask Mode (Default)
- Fast, bite-sized interactions
- Uses pagination (10 products at a time)
- For viewing, browsing, and quick questions
- Plan generation tools are NOT available in Ask mode
Plan Mode
- Click the 📋 Plan button at the top of the Sidekick pane
- Gets ALL products matching criteria (no pagination limit)
- Required for bulk update operations
- Plan generation tools are available in Plan mode
Critical: You must be in Plan mode to generate plans. If you try to generate a plan in Ask mode, Wade will guide you to switch to Plan mode first.

- Provide clear requirements for better plan quality
- Review plans before execution to verify changes
- Start with small plans to test the workflow
- Execute plans during low-traffic periods for large catalogs
Troubleshooting
Memo Not Generating
- Ensure you explicitly requested a memo (Wade only creates memos when explicitly requested)
- Verify you’re on the correct page (Orders page for order memos, All Products for catalog memos)
- Check that there are orders or products visible on the page
- Review error messages in the chat for specific issues
Plan Generation Failing
- Verify you’re in Plan mode (click the 📋 Plan button)
- Ensure you’re on the All Products page (not Orders page)
- Check that products are visible on the page
- Review Wade’s questions and provide clear answers
- Try with a smaller product set first
Context Not Available
- If Wade says no context is available, navigate to the relevant page first
- For order memos: Go to WooCommerce → Orders
- For product memos/plans: Go to Products → All Products
- Use filters to narrow down the product/order set if needed
